Have a "Flippin' Awesome" Birthday | Lawn Fawn

Sadly, I missed Halloween this year. I did have a video all set up, just had to do the voice over, but then I got ridiculously sick and couldn't record. I ended up going to the doctor a couple of days ago, apparently my cold turned into "quite a severe sinus infection"; so now I'm on these crazy antibiotics. The doc says they are the strongest antibiotics she can prescribe for a sinus infection and then went all mom-voice on me about taking so long to get into see her.

Anyway, I may still do the voice-over and video, even though Halloween is over because it's fun and I love Halloween, but for today I have a super fun birthday card featuring the new Flippin Awesome die and add-on, as well as the Yeti or Not stamp set. (Best part about this? All the extra pictures! Yay!!!)

I created the background panel using the largest of the Large Stitched Rectangle dies with some Spiffy Speckles paper. I wanted something that would compliment the card without taking away from the star of the show.

All the images are stamped with Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink on 110lb cardstock, coloured in with Copic markers and then fussy cut out.

I used the scalloped rectangle from the Flippin' Awesome Add On to die cut the dark blue from Perfectly Plaid Chill paper.

The Flippin' Awesome mechanism is cut from 65lb white cardstock. I know, I typically use the same 110lb cardstock for everything, but with this many moving pieces, I knew it wouldn't work as smoothly. The 65lb holds up really well and allows for easy movement.

The smaller squares are cut from some of the blue paper from Perfectly Plaid Spring paper. I used the same die to cut two squares of glittered cardstock then used the Stitched Border dies to cut the snowbanks.

Once the backgrounds were put together, I started to add my trees, then cut the Yetis in half so that I could create a fluid scene. First he's coming in, then he's leaving each square. This really creates some movement and allows for an animation feel.

So it wasn't until I was stamping the greeting on the very last panel that this became a birthday card. It *WAS* going to be a fun Christmas card, but sometimes you just grab the wrong stamp and then it's just too late.

I didn't want to add anything else to the front, so I decided to offset the rectangle instead of having it straight across the card.

I added my sentiment to the inside of the card, then decided to stamp one more yeti to add some flare. And nothing says flare like a yeti doing a flip on the inside of the card. Amiright?

Magic Picture Changer Happy Birthday | Lawn Fawn "Birthday Before and After"

So you know when you already don't like your phone, and then you see a killer deal from your own provider? And you think, maybe, juuuust maybe they can save the relationship? That was my yesterday. So I'm chatting with the guy from my provider and he's giving me the information on this (already overpriced but better than my plan at the same price) plan and then says I have to pay out my contract in order to go on this plan. Nearly 8 years, 3 phones and there's not a thing they're going to do for me. So naturally I'm mega frustrated, so my husband says "Let's pay out the contract and get you switched over to another provider" so that's what we did. So for WAAAY less monies and WAAAY more GBs I have a WAAAY better phone, no charge accessories and a happier day. So that's where I'm at.

Today, I have another Magic Picture Changer card (currently my favourite interactive die, can you tell?) along with the "Birthday Before and After" stamp set.

To begin, I stamped all the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on 110lb Copic-friendly cardstock and coloured them with Copic markers. I wanted to keep the cupcakes on the background panel in the same families as the main cupcakes, so I just went a few shades lighter.

For the outside of changer piece, I shaded the whole cover piece with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink, which I thought was closest to the pink I had chosen for the pink cupcakes. Once that was dry I stamped my greetings with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with Lawn Fawn's White Embossing Powder.

I mounted my custom background on a piece of black cardstock then adhered that to the front of a standard A2 sized card base. I used to two layers of foam tape to mount the slider to the front of the card.

To finish off today's card I stamped the sprinkles in coordinating ink and filled them in with Glossy Accents for some sprinkly shine!

Lawn Fawn Magic Picture Changer | Be a Little Shellfish Birthday

I just wanted to start out by saying how grateful I am to all of you that have been reaching out. Not only is it encouraging to know that I have been able to bring some inspiration to your card making, it's incredibly comforting to know that behind the screens are real people that care and miss me. Loneliness is a terrible feeling, especially when you're surrounded by people. It means a lot that people I've never met have taken the time to reach out and just check in. It really can make all the difference in the world on a bad day. Thank you.

Today, I want to share a card I created using the Lawn Fawn Magic Picture Changer Dies. This is fast becoming my favourite interactive die set, and if you've been following along, you know I have most of them. I love how you can tell a little story without taking up additional space, this set is brilliant.

I began by stamping all the images on the front with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on 110lb Copic-friendly cardstock, colouring them with Copic markers and fussy cutting them out.

I cut the pieces for the Magic Picture changer out of the same 110lb Copic-friendly cardstock and used my Dollar Store ink blending brushes with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to shade the outsides and the closed position of the changer, Salty Ocean and Mermaid Lagoon for the waves, which were cut down using the stitched wave dies.

When you pull up the little tab to get the second image, this super sweet little Shellfish appears, he was coloured with Copic markers, masked off and the same blue was used to blend around him.

Once the mechanism was together, I used the light blue from the Really Rainbow Scallops 6x6 paper pack along with the largest of the Large Stitched Rectangles for my background. Then adhered the mechanism with foam tape - this gives the recipient an easier time when trying to pull the tab.

Next I added the greeting to the front-most wave and adhered them in place, then added all my little party-going sea creatures.

To finish off the card I added some iridescent bubbles from Studio Katia, and Spectrum Noir clear glitter pen over the shell.

Lawn Fawn "Beam Me Up" and Outta This World Pop-Up Birthday Card

Today I wanted to post a card that I created using some older supplies in my stash. You know when you get a new thing and you're like "I HAVE ALL THE IDEAS!!!" and then you get it and you make a few things then it gets put into the stash and mostly forgotten about because there's something else new and shiny for you to play with.... it's almost like they do that on purpose... hmmmm.

Every now and then I'll be flipping through my giant binder 'o dies and I'll see something and remember all the ideas I had. That's what happened. That's how this card became more than an idea.

For the outside, I trimmed a piece of 110lb cardstock using the largest of the Small Stitched Rectangle dies and blended my background using my Lori Brushes and Distress Ink. I only really focused on the middle, I wanted it to look like a space tunnel or a wormhole, through which he was stealing away the cake.

Once the ink was dry, I used clean water and splattered for my distressed look, then splattered again using Copic Opaque white to get the stars.

I stamped my ship and all the images inside the card with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on 110lb Copic friendly cardstock and coloured them with Copic markers. For his tractor beam, I prepped a piece of vellum with my powder tool then stamped the beam image with VersaMark ink and heat embossed it with Lawn Fawn's Glow in the Dark embossing powder. I would love to show you a picture of what this looks like, but I can't take a picture in the dark to save my life. I can't even tell you how many I tried and they look awful. So you'll just have to trust me when I say it looks nifty.

Once the entire panel was dry, I prepped the lower right corner and stamped the greeting then heat embossed with Lawn Fawn's White embossing powder. This is the first time I've used their embossing powder, normally I use the Ranger detail white, but I gotta say this stuff is great. I mean, I'm not going to toss my other stuff, but it's really nice to know that I have more if I ever run out in a hundred years.

To finish off my ship, I adhered small red gems over the lights to give it some dimension. I think I would have gotten nearly the same result with glossy accents, but I had them on my desk, so why not.

Turns out, he's bringing the cake to a party!! YAY!!

I created this galaxy background the same way directly on the inside of the card base. While that was drying I used the pop-up dies to cut a piece of kraft cardstock and sponged on some Gathered Twigs and Vintage Photo Distress ink to give a bit of texture to the ground.

Once I had everything dry and put together I adhered all my little guys in place. I wanted to two ships to be floating, so I used the acetate trick to make them really look like they were on their way in. More guests to the party!

If I were to make this card again, and I'm sure I will, I would use a different alien. While this guy is my favourite, he just looks silly with the birthday hat, and I think it would have been nice to have some birthday hats going on. Maybe we'll see that in the future. Who even knows.....

Lawn Fawn "You Color My World" Reveal Wheel

Today I wanted to share a card I created using the "One in a Chameleon", "Blissful Botanicals" and "You Color my World" stamp sets along with the "Reveal Wheel" dies. This card can be used for the ladies and the gents, which is always a bonus as well as a just because or a cheer up kind of card.

All the images are stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on 110lb Copic-friendly cardstock and coloured with Copic markers.

I used the Reveal Wheel die set along with the Chameleon die to create my view window. It's handy that the wheel is big enough to accommodate dies from other sets even if they don't have the little puzzle piece to fit into the die.

I used Distress Inks and my Lori blending brushes to get a rainbow gradient for a smooth colour change when you turn the wheel. Once the wheel was dry, I assembled the mechanism and adhered it to a piece of patterned paper; then mounted it to the front of a standard A2 sized card base.

I stamped the chameleon on a piece of acetate with StazOn black ink. The background hanging vine plants were stamped with Shabby Shutters Distress Oxide ink.

Lawn Fawn "Butterfly Kisses" Happy Spring Slider

Today, I have a super cute spring slider card featuring Lawn Fawn's "Butterfly Kisses" stamp set, along with the Slide on Over die set. As soon as I saw this set the idea for this card flew into my head and I couldn't wait to get it out and on to paper (literally).

I stamped all the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on 110lb Copic-friendly paper and coloured them in with Copic markers. I then fussy cut them out.

I used my homemade cloud stencil and Tumbled Glass Distress inks with the Lori blending brushes to create the sky. I cut down two pieces of cardstock with the grassy border dies and used Mowed Lawn and Cracked Pistachio Distress Inks to create the ground.

Once the ink was dry, I used one of the Slide on Over dies to cut my track. To make the butterflies appear to be floating I adhered them to a small piece of acetate. I placed the fox over the track and used a small piece of foam tape to attach him to a penny. Next I adhered the background grassy piece with additional foam tap to ensure that the penny will slide smoothly.

The bunny and the bear are adhered directly to the foreground grassy piece and that was attached to the panel as well.

The entire piece was adhered to the front of as standard A2 sized card base.

Lawn Fawn "Butterfly Kisses" Interactive Magic Picture Changer Card

Okay, first off just let me say OMG! I LOVE this die set. I think I have all of the interactive dies from Lawn Fawn and this one is by far my most favourite (and not just because it's new!), it is super easy to use and you get a huge bang for your buck - so to speak.

If you haven't watched the video by Kelly, then you should head on over and do that (here's the link, I'm not affiliated, I just think they are amazing). This is one of those dies that lets you tell a little story to your recipient along with giving them a card, which is pretty amazing if you ask me. You also get double the space without a whole bunch of bulk and that is always a good thing.

To make this card I stamped this adorable bear and butterfly from the "Butterfly Kisses" stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on 110lb Copic-friendly paper and coloured them with Copic markers. I then masked them off and used Cracked Pistachio Distress ink along with my new blending brushes (dollar store FTW) to create my grass. I then used my homemade cloud stencil along with Tumbled Glass Distress ink for my sky.

For the second part of my scene, I started by stamping the butterfly, masking him then stamping the bear and colouring them the same as in the first picture.

Once all my images were stamped and stenciled I used the "Magic Picture Changer" die set to get all the pieces I needed for my mechanism.

There's a couple of things I want to mention:

1. I use 110lb paper, it's really hard to fold on the score lines along the edges when you use that thick cardstock, but I haven't found an 80lb that I like along with my Copics, so as it stands, this is something I'm just going to have to take a bit of extra time with. It definitely (and obviously) can be done, it's just not super easy. 
2. Use a powder tool. I thought I could try getting away without using one (I like to learn things for myself... LOL) and I was most definitely wrong. A powder tool or even a soft paintbrush with kitchen flour will be your best friend when making these cards. And be liberal. Like REALLY liberal with it. Get that stuff everywhere.

I used the largest of the Large Stitched Rectangle dies to cut a piece of the green Gotta Have Gingham paper to cover my A2 card base. I cut the frame and the pull tab from a piece of the pinkish paper from the same pack.

I mounted my Picture Changer mechanism to the front of my card with foam mounting tape (more dollar store FTW) and pressed it down firmly.

To finish off the card I used some clear Wink of Stella on the butterfly in each phase of the picture, making sure to let it dry before moving the slider. I also used Ranger's Multi Media Medium Matte to adhere some sequins from my stash, because I gotta have me some sparkle.

Lawn Fawn Interactive Card | Happy Heart Day | You're Stinkin' Cute

Today I wanted to share a super sweet card made for Valentine's Day, but could really be given at any time to someone you care about.

To begin, I stamped all the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on 110lb Copic-friendly cardstock and coloured them in with Copic markers.

I cut two panels using the second largest of the Large Stitched Rectangles Die and used one of the curved grassy border dies to get my little hillside.

So I've been seeing the new Picket Fence Brushes, and lemme tell ya, I want them. But I don't want to pay that price. The best deal is for the big pack of 10 but there are so many in there that I know I wouldn't use. So what's a girl to do? You'll see in a video I have coming up soon so keep an eye out!!!

I used a few different Distress Inks to create the sky and the grass, with the new super secret (until I post the video) brushes that I found -- AT THE DOLLAR STORE!

I used Lawn Fawn's "Let's Toast Pull Tab Add On die" to create the mechanism that allows this little cutie to pop up.

I mounted the grass panel with foam mounting tape (dollar store) to the background panel. I then adhered that with more mounting tape to a piece of the pink gingham paper, cut with the largest of the Large Stitched Rectangles and then adhered the whole lot to the front of a standard A2 sized card base.

To finish off the card, I used clear Wink of Stella and Glossy accents on the heart.

Happy Holidays 2018 | ft. Lawn Fawn "Magic Color Slider" Dies with "Caramel Apple" stamp set

Today I want to share a card (and video tutorial) for this year's Happy Holiday Series, featuring Lawn Fawn (surprise, right?!) "Magic Color Slider" Die set with the "Caramel Apple" and "Sweet Christmas" stamp sets.

This card really fits more between Halloween and Christmas because the caramel apple, I think is more of Halloween thing, right? But I'm using Christmas colours so it'll work. LOL I think that's the best part about card making, is being able to just change up the colours and say it's for a different season. One little change and it's a whole new card for a whole new season! Don't believe me? Check out this video here.

I wanted to keep the outside relatively simple, so that the slider would reveal a super fun surprise! I mean that's the point right? 

The interactive die sets can be incredibly intimidating, but I've found that they are super intuitive. If you're like me, you're probably watching the release videos the minute they're out (how else are you putting your wish list together?) and the instructions that Kelly Marie provides are always great.

See? Super surprise! I LOOOVE this die set. I really don't know why I don't use it more. The best part is, you can combine this set for the outside of the card with any of the pop-up sets for the inside of the card for someone you REALLY want to surprise. I wonder how many different interactive sets could be used on a single card.

I even remembered to do something for the inside of the card this time around, so I thought I'd include photos of that as well. It's usually an afterthought for me, so I don't really include them when I do a video. I know I'm not alone in this....

International Sloth Day - Happy (belated) Birthday | ft. Lawn Fawn Stamps and Interactive Dies

Today I wanted to share a card (and video) for an interactive, masculine and SUPER cute belated birthday card, featuring Lawn Fawn's "Double Slider Surprise" die set, "Hang in There" and "Critters in the Jungle" stamp sets, all in honour of International Sloth Day. That's a thing. You can Google it.

So I had a completely different card in mind when I woke up this morning, and not gonna lie - it took a bit for me to get that one out of my head, or at least off to the side, so I could create this one. Sloth Day only happens once a year, and I'll not miss it. They are, after all, my most favouritest of animals.

In the video you'll see the list of Copics that I used to create this card, I also discuss why this die set gives me the most trouble out of all the interactive sets I have. As well, in the interests of full disclosure, I do go off on a pretty long tangent about the value we put on our work, and why it is important that we continue to do what we love BECAUSE we love it, not to make everyone else happy. Oh, and you'll also see me make a bit of a masking error and how I fixed it. This video is loaded with stuff today; I didn't even list them all!

I really wanted the sloth to be the star of the show, not counting the interactive element, as that generally steals the show. We all love a little interaction in our cards!

I kept the colouring super simple on all of the elements, all of which are stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on 110lb Copic-friendly cardstock.

So while we're chatting about mistakes (in the video) I also didn't really put the card together the way I wanted. The pull up panel goes waaaay further than I wanted because I didn't use the stopper mechanism - and they provide it for a reason. Sooo maybe next time. Whoops!

Interactive Masculine Birthday Card | ft. Lawn Fawn Stamps and Dies

Today I have a masculine card (and video) featuring -- SURPRISE!!! Lawn Fawn Stamps and Dies. I needed to create a birthday card for my grandfather who turned 86 this year! 86!! And still strong as an ox. He's totally one of my favourite people in the whole world and he got a real kick out of this card. We had his birthday dinner on Saturday (Chinese food - because that's what he loves) and he thought it was great. He even texted me during dinner to say thank you.

When you watch the video, you'll see that my process isn't really as smooth as it generally is. Or at least as smooth as think I am because I had a little person talking at me and asking me questions and trying to get me to do stuff for her. 

I used Distress Oxide inks to create a simple background so that my little scene wasn't just floating in the middle of nowhere, I used Cracked Pistachio and Tumbled Glass; there is absolutely nothing special about this. I just wanted to get colour on my panel.

I used Lawn Fawn Dye Inks to stamp my little water patch from the Dad & Me set, I knew that it wasn't going to be a solid stamped image and tried to use that to my advantage by restamping the image a second and third time with a lighter colour ink to make it look more like actual water.

I wanted to finish off the inside of the card, something I don't typically do. For this one I stamped the images in second generation Distress Oxide ink and then stamped the sentiment from the Reveal Wheel Sentiments with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

For the grass and dragonflies around the little scene I used Peeled Paint and Black Soot Distress Oxide ink. This isn't in the video because of a certain little person who just *needed* to have my attention. But I do talk about that in the video.

2018 Sporadic Fall Series | ft. Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel and Pick of the Patch

It's been a crazy couple of weeks. The cold I mentioned in the last post lingered for-ev-er!! I actually had to take sick time off work, and that is not something I like to do. Today, however, I took a couple days off - just because. It's quiet at work, so the timing was optimal.

Anyway, today I thought I would share a fun fall card using the Reveal Wheel die set, the Pick of the Patch pumpkin add-on die and the Pick of the Patch stamp set.

I stamped all my images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on 110lb Copic-friendly cardstock and coloured them with Copic markers.

I wanted to do something a little different, so instead of setting the add-on die in the reveal wheel set using the little puzzle piece notch, I eyed out the distance and turned the die upside down. This allowed me to have the pumpkin right side up, but at the bottom of the card so it could still be in the patch.

To create my background, I used some Distress Inks to create my night sky. I mixed up some Perfect Pearls in the perfect pearl colour with water and splattered that on the panel to get some shimmery stars. I also splattered some clean water on the panel for some variance.

I used one of the grassy borders to cut some of the Knit Picky paper down to make my base.

Once the panel was completely dry, I stamped my greeting with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with detail white embossing powder. I assembled my Reveal Wheel mechanism and added my critters and grass.

I adhered another piece of the Knit Picky paper to my standard A2 sized card base, then adhered my Reveal Wheel piece on top.

Deepest Thanks | ft. Lawn Fawn "Double Slider Surprise" Dies and Stamps

Sooo, the kids are all back at school now. Three kids, three different schools, an average of about 600 kids per school means there are 1800 kids worth of germs in my house right now, and I got them all. I don't get sick very often, but when I do... holy crap it hits me like a truck. I'll spare you the "juicy" details of what I can only describe as the great head cold of 2018, but that's the reason I haven't managed to do a voice over. I have a couple videos all edited and waiting for the voice over, but I'm sure you will appreciate not having to hear me breathe as though I had just run a marathon, and sniffle every two seconds. Trust me, I'm doing you all a favour.

For today's card I thought I would share my first attempt using the "Double Slider Surprise" die set. We all knew this was coming, I mean, when have I EVER been able to resist a Lawn Fawn item? I thought for my first attempt I would keep it relatively basic, using the "You are Sublime" and "Duh-Nuh" stamp sets.

Now, if you haven't watched Lawn Fawn's "Intro to Double Slider Surprise" video, I highly recommend that you do so before attempting this card. A couple of times. I'm a HUGE fan of their interactive dies, and while this one is no different, it's going to take a bit of practice, at least for me. Lemme tell ya.

The dies themselves are straightforward, the only one that I had issues with was the tab cutter, which makes the little indent on the sleeve. I wasn't sure what to line it up with, and as you can see in the photo above I did not line it up properly.

All the images are stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on 110lb Copic-friendly cardstock and coloured with Copic markers. I used the Brother 2 Scan N Cut to cut them all out.

To create all my background I used Distress Inks with my blending tool in various shades of blue for the water and Scattered Straw with Gathered Twigs for the sand.

Another mistake I made, was deciding at the end to add the little pull tabs, I totally should have added them before my layers - but that's on me. And let's be honest, any difficulties I had with this set are totally on me. And that's okay with me. I love a challenge and having a set that is more for the art of it, than for mass production is A-OKAY. So if you've received a card like this from a loved one, think twice before tossing it. More than a little bit of work went into creating it.

To adhere all the pieces down, I ran them through my Xyron mini X sticker maker, I've found that I can move them around a bit as a long as I haven't pushed them down completely.

I cut a piece of the Really Rainbow patterned paper to the front of my card - and then die cut my pull tabs from the piece I trimmed. This is when I discovered I should have done that waaay before this point.

To make the slider stick to the front, I covered the back with Scor Tape - which is a super sticky two way tape that I would recommend in all sizes for all things. I never have to worry about this stuff coming off.

To finish off the inside of the card, I used third generation stamping of the little submarine from the "You are Sublime" set, and first generation for the sentiment. I added a couple of the extra pieces I had coloured just for some added interest and so they got to fulfill their paper destinies.

2018 Sporadic Fall Series | ft. Lawn Fawn Mini Pop Up Box Die Set and You're the Pick of the "Patch Stamp"

So given my terribly inconsistent posting (for which I cannot apologize enough) I can, at best, promise only the most sporadic of postings for this series. Which is shocking, considering that this is by far my most favourite season. Sadly, by the time I get home from work, we have dinner and get the kids all settled, I'm just not in the head space to be in the craft room.

There have been a couple days where I have plowed through and been in there, but then sent out the cards without taking pictures. To which I end up being super unhappy with myself, because you'd think that after blogging for this long, I would know my own routine.

Anyway, it hasn't stopped me from BUYING all the new things, especially when it comes to Lawn Fawn. Today's card features the Mini Pop Up Box die set as well as the brand new "Pick of the Patch" stamp set. Both of which are SUPER fun to play with!!

To begin, I stamped the squirrel as well as the pumpkin with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on 110lb Copic-friendly cardstock, coloured them with Copics and fussy cut them out. Normally I'd use the Scan N Cut, but I'm doing some reorganizing in the art room right now, and it's a little inaccessible.

I used one of the frames from Lawn Fawn's "Mini Picture Frames" die set to frame up my images then added a length of natural twine and a brad to make it look like it was hanging. All of the pattered paper in today's card comes from the Knit Picky mini 6x6 paper pack.

I cut the mini box from some 65lb Kraft cardstock and added the side panels from the extra patterned paper on the front. I stamped the rest of my images, coloured them and fussy cut them out. To make them all stick I used the Nuvo Precision Glue Pen (which I LOVE).

When I create another of these cards, I will rotate the box so that the triangles (where it attaches to the inside of the card) open at the top. It wasn't until afterwards that it occurred to me, they shouldn't be visible from the angle at which you are looking at it. But, live and learn, right?

Much like the Shadow Box die set, I love how you can get so much more dimension in such a tiny space. Of the two new interactive die sets, this one is currently my favourite. It doesn't take a whole lot of effort to make a BIG surprise on the inside of an already super fun card.

Clean and Simple Reveal Wheel Birthday Card | ft. Lawn Fawn Stamps and Dies

This die set makes creating a reveal card so incredibly easy. There really isn't a whole lot more work to take your card to the next level.

A Manatee-rific Birthday Card | ft. Lawn Fawn "Reveal Wheel" Die Set

So before I get into the card (which is awesome, by the way) I'll give a little back story to where I've been. Last month, my old boss called me up and offered me a full-time job, naturally I jumped at the chance. I opted to not give up my part time job, and therefore have been working insane hours. Twelve days on and only two off, so it was exhausting. Then my part-time job, also offered me a full time position, so I left the other job and am only working one at full time now. Sadly, they will now need to full my part time position so I'm still all about the map for days. I'm desperately hoping to get some time in the art room. I miss it, and all of you dreadfully.

Anyway, on to the card!

To begin, I cut all the pieces I needed with the "Reveal Wheel" die set out of 110lb Copic-friendly cardstock. I stamped the images from "Manatee-rific" with Memento Tuxedo black ink and created masks for them.

I masked the images, then used Distress Inks to create the ocean background. Once that was dry, I removed the masks and coloured all the images with Copic markers.

Once my panel was completed, I assembled the wheel mechanism; which is so incredibly easy.

I then mounted the entire lot to the front of a standard A2 sized card base. To finish off the card, I used some of the Ocean Wave crystals by Studio Katia (which FINALLY arrived, like a week ago) in place of bubbles.

Simple Interactive Penny Slider | ft. MFT "Up In The Air"

Today I have a super easy interactive card that I created when my Sister In Law asked for a card for a little boy, I absolutely love making cards that are for specific people in mind because you can really tailor the card to the individual. Seeing the look on their faces when they see something they love is without a doubt one of the best feelings ever.
