Wild Birthday | ft. Clearly Besotted "Good to be Bad"

Hi everyone, thank you for stopping by. I hope you are having a great day.

I've said it time and again, masculine cards are sooo hard to do. I know there are stamps out there for the guys, I know that some guys like the more elegant cards. Some guys even like a little glitter (phew, good thing too!). But when I'm asked to create a card for a guy, I'm generally stuck. I'm stuck on colours, I'm stuck on theme, I'm just stuck. Stuck, stuck, stuck!

Thankfully, I was able to find this awesome set from Clearly Besotted. Since I've had it, it's gotten me out of a couple tight spots!

To begin, I stamped this trio of goons from Clearly Besotted's "Good to be Bad" stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on 110lb Copic-friendly cardstock. I then masked them off using some 2" Post-It tape.

Next, I stamped the trees from Lawn Fawn's "Lovable Legends" using CTMH Ponderosa Pine and Olive inks. I then used some Gathered Twigs, Forest Moss, Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress ink to create a ground and sky.

I removed the mask, and coloured the image with Copic markers. The greeting comes from Clearly Besotted's "Go Wild" set, also stamped in Memento ink.

I adhered the panel to a piece of black cardstock and then mounted the entire lot to a standard A2 sized card base.

Finally, because I just can't help myself, I used a clear Wink of Stella glitter pen over the metal of the one guy's helmet.

I hope you like today's card and are inspired to create something of your own.
